Raffaele De Rosa to continue with Althea Racing
STK1000 Champion extends relationship for 2017
Italian Raffaele De Rosa will take on the upcoming season with Althea Racing, focusing heavily on the development of the BMW machine. After securing the European Superstock 1000 title at the final round of the thrilling season in Jerez, De Rosa will continue with the team.
On top of development, the 29 year old will also be present as a rider on several occasions in the FIM MOTUL Superbike World Championship, alongside Jordi Torres and Markus Reiterberger. Following two strong years together, De Rosa and the Italian team will maintain their strong bond into the future.
“I am extremely happy to continue this partnership,” De Rosa explains, “My goal was to attend the entire SBK season; the team and I have invested all our energy for this purpose, however, it was not possible. I believe that this collaboration for 2017 is very good because it means that there is the will to carry out a common project.”
